Hi Mirko, Thanks very much for the reply. I found PATCHCRT.EXE and used it on the INSTALL.EXE, TR.EXE and POST.EXE. In each case patchcrt said that the files had been patched, and INSTALL.EXE worked,

Hi Mark, Thanks for the reply. As I understand it, DOS 7.1 is supposed to handle large drives, but in any event, the DOS partition on the disk is 2 gig in size and at the very beginning of the disk.

Thanks everyone for the replies. It turns out the problem was with DOS 7.1, and I was able to solve the issue by replacing DOS 7.1 with Win 98-SE. TRlog is not running happily in it's own partition,
