This IS 6.71 I beleive. I thought there might was a separate speed controll for F10 type CW , but cant find one. So I had to ask, cause it really weird OH one more thing, I can change its speed using

Well, what ever the problem was, it seems to be related to my NT box I was building it on. I know there are NT related problems because of how the NT operateing system works, but I was trying to type

Tree Well the fix was 10K resistors, works A OK now. If I had read the detail for the pins on pages 181 and 182, I would have caught the fact that 10K was the suggested value, not the 1K I had origal
