In the shack I use a couple of sealed lead acid batteries, ( sla) . I use the old ones from my mobility scooter (33 ah each) and I use a west mountain powergate to keep them charged. out in the shed

there is still a bug or two, if you are in ssb using vox and go to cw mode and transmit the orion goes to full power transmit and can not be turned off unless you turn off the radio and then turn it
