I use good external speakers on all my rigs. I have a lot of hearing loss form stuff overs the years so I find that 7 or 11 inch metal cased rca or realistic speakers or even those old stereo speaker

I use an MFJ 704 gizmo to key my linears. Some of the older amps used 12 volts at 1 amp ( or such) to ground and can harm the keying circuit on the new rigs, You know that you "dip the plate and peak

Again I use an mfj 704 amp interface with all my rigs and amps. I that way never have to think about it, it is always protected.. this stuff is too expensive not to use a little protection. tom N6AJR
