HAm Radio Deluxe is my favorite, and I love the super browser (SB) you should register the software, but no fee.. good program , great rig control and packet works well I'll second Jerry's findings..

if you have doubts invest in an ameritron ( MFJ?) 704, its an relay for solid state rigs that keys the linear, needs no ext power, and has alc if you choose to use it. ( I don't) about $30 or so, and

A trick I learned years ago, with the good old yaesu ft 101 series, ( the power and heater switch were notorious for going out) , is to use a $6 zip strip, with a switch, either a 4 holer or a 6 hole
