Hello Franciso, If you are going to run 100% duty mode such as RTTY, AM or FM on the Orion II then you shud get the external fan. Otherwise, you will be fine without it. Gud luck. Rick W4UEF In a mes

Hi Ed, When running PSK31 on my Orion II, I run high tones. That is, around 2000 Hz. Therefore, the PBT is set about 1950 and TX EQ is set to -20dB. This setup also is used when using AFSK on RTTY. H
