For sake of argument, assume my TX bandwidth is set to 1800 Hz. If I am transmitting my 1500 watts into an 1800 Hz BW, does this mean I would be 3 dB stronger than someone transmitting his 1500 watts

I am happy to see it. I use CTWin and the keying circuit from the PC is connected to the PTT circuit via a switching transistor built into the PC parallel connector. I can then use the built in keyer

PTT line on MIKE connector becomes KEY line when you switch to CW, not good, unnecessary, poor choice on $3k radio. I want it to stay PTT. Any way of doing it??? Yuri

On more problem with delay built into the rig is that if you use computer CQ and paddles through the computer (TRlog) it starts upsetting timing (delays) and when you are trying to send CW with paddl

On the "software radio" I can see problems already with the PTT thing. If the hardware is not capable of accommodating change, then there is a bigger problem. Suppose you make some mods in hardware,
