I have been having a problem on my Corsair II with gurgle on SSB voice peaks. I believe the gauge of wire from my Astron 35M to the Corsair II to be #14. That is the way I got it from previous owner.

That is what I am thinking. I am making one up for #10. I am having a very hard time getting the pins out of the Molex plug without a Molex tool. This may have to wait a few days until I locate one.
It is the #14 wire in this case. But, I feel like you do. That Molex plug is about as bad as it gets. TT would have been better off providing wire screw twist caps. I think even they would make a bet

I hope you are using a Ten Tec supply. It sounds like you are not. A Ten Tec supply would trip its internal breaker at that SWR. If you are not using a Ten Tec supply I would highly suggest an inline
