Ken, For what it's worth, on 40m CW I usually use 0.50 uV threshold, 5 dB/s decay and 0.51 s hang time. That is with version 2.037j. I don't operate 40m SSB. Hope this helps. 73, Ray W2RS ___________

True, but some new laptops, such as my Dell Latitude D240, have no line input, only mic in and headphone out. Those work fine, as long as you adjust the audio levels correctly. BTW, I'm stll using XP

The Argo V is a great rig. I've had mine for 2 years and I never get tired of it. But, it runs only 20 W and is not designed to drive an amp. If you want more power than that, go for the Jupiter. 73,
