My standard is running 24 hours on battery at Field Day. Unless we are running digital mode like PSK 31 or packet, ONE deep cycle or even car battery will last 24 hours and still be 12.2 volts or bet

I think you should not leave the Omni VI off your list. Its resale will be in your range, when you decide. Its crystal mixing scheme is still a better receiver than anything else except a K2 perhaps.
