My Orion, vintage December 2004, puts out 20 Watts in tune with the meter showing just a mark over 20 and the Bird 43 showing right on 20 Watts. My power setting is 50 watts. Pressing the power butto

I put the N4PY software on my computer this weekend. I noticed "kinda" the same thing ... turns out the computer needs to be on when the Orion is turned on otherwise when the COM1 port initializes it

I have always run my Orion with keying loop 1 on and keying loop 2 off. I do not have anything hooked up to keying loop 2. I have not experienced the keying loop problem with my Orion and ACOM 1000.
