I believe that ON4UN did a comparison between the 87A and ACOM in his LowBand DXing book? That might be a source of information for some ... HNY! 73 Billy AA4NU ______________________________________
I recall something similar ... being described in Ham Radio magazine about the time frame you mentioned ... the QST article was much later. Always wanted to build the HR idea, and see how it worked.
Do you see this on all bands? Same problems into a dummy load? Those would be some checks to do next to try and isolate what is going on ... 73 Billy AA4NU -- Original Message -- From: "I2DMI" <i2dmi
Actually Bill ... the posts seem to be made by new owners who are asking the same questions that others have, and keep asking. Check out the callsigns to confirm this ... it's not the same 12 or so.
Just to keep this in perspective, you are the same 'expert' who posted this? Nothing wrong with having multiple rigs ... but ... ah ... well ... 73 Billy AA4NU ______________________________________

Sadly Derwin, you are very "missaken". Do a search on W8JI, or read ON4UN's Low band DXing books to learn how ground system really work. There is "no free lunch" with radial systems. 73 de Billy, AA4

Derwin, I would agree with you as to not wanting to reduce the gain or change the TA33's pattern. But I am afraid that removing the radials from the 5/8w will make it worse, not better, unless you fi
