Been a while but had Omni vi that had a mod for low mic input. Back left corner of radio is where audio amps are . It was easy to see on mine they just added resistors to top of resistors on board .

Oh boy lets play with the band pass of the Omni vi . What are your goals if this mod is done? That might help . Omni vi isnt stereo sound on ssb but very good cw sound. The dsp isnt very wide for ssb
