I think it is the Hercules not the Hercules II for which PA xsistors are no longer available. If you can find a Hercules 1, be sure to get a Paragon 1 to go with it. The Herc I cosmetically matches

Paragon I and Hercules I are matched sets. Ten-Tec manufactured exactly as many Hercules I as they did Paragon I. If you can find a pair they are real collectors items, rare as hen's teeth. I am curi

Its similar to the OMNI VI in that it is a very, very fine CW rig and it is still a good SSB rig (but not "optimized" for the SSB operator). The specs on the K2 are really amazing for the price and s

Good question, of course! I've found, in my own experience with several INRAD filters, that they have lower loss (by the Ten Tec "S" meter readings on my OMNI's) but I didn't measure carefully. Georg

Sounds completely normal to me, Dan. I always ran my Corsair II with adjustment of the ALC to each individual band to just barely "blink" - it kept the SSB audio from distorting. Clark WA3JPG Do you
