RF Limiter / receiver protectors work. Build or buy, cheap protection. ICE makes them. I have been using two of theirs and my receivers still work. Run diversity rx using FT-1000D and now with Orion

No problems here with K5. Been running one since they were available. See no timing difference with K5. I get the same operator errors, but was told I can't get my money back for that. 73, Ken, KA0W
