Are you running the 705 by battery or through the Omni V? If through the Omni V, check the voltage at the jack first. If by battery, check the battery. Then check the plug before going inside it. Goo
Don't remember for sure without looking it up. But I think 9-12v. The mic runs off a 9v battery if not getting power directly, so it would make sense it needs around 9v to work. David I'm running it
This is very interesting, and may deserve more research on my part. I do know that I have ran several TT radios over the last 7-8 years with the same 705 mic. Omni C (with battery), Corsair (original
Last March, I took my omni V down to TT for a checkup and while they were at it, I asked them to do something about the overpowering AF gain. Like you say, you could breath on it.....very touchy past
Hi, I recently traded my Omni V for a VI+ and have Carl's chip and instructions available for sale. I never got around to installing it. If anyone needs or wants to upgrade their V, email me direct a
Probably just fine. 10 years is not very long for a tube to be out of commission. I have NOS tubes that are way older than that and not afraid to use them. David _____________________________________

Thanks for the input. The straight through cabling, or the program setup, does have issues. One program reads everything except mode correctly. So things are not working perfectly. I've yet to find o
