thanks mike, i found out that the shure 444 mic that works with my corsair also works with my paragon II - so the pinouts are the same - now i have a different problem - my audio peaks on tha paragon

my audio peaks on my paragon II with a shure 444 mic are much lower than my corsair with the same mic. for instance when i give a quick whistle into the mic in usb i'm only pushing about 80 watts out

the paragon has a tune button that you press to adjust the rf power. when this is in fully clockwise position the radio is putting out full power. according to ten tec this is full power and not a pr

yes that is what i mean - i tune my jap rigs on am where the carrier is only 40 or 50 watts. on ten tecs i guess i'm tuning on up on CW which is 100 watts. i am still a bit confused on this though -

otakebi, it has nothing to do with high SWR - i don't know where you are getting this from. when i tune my ten tec i turn up the RF power slowly and tune my swr on my antenna tuner for low swr - i do

actually you have not helped me out - you still have not answered the question - whats the difference between an am carrier and cw carrier? if it's the same as some people say why on a japanese radio
