I agree also. I find excessive Bass response (well, I call it excessive, YMMV) is unpleasant to the ear, and it wastes energy in the wrong part of the spectrum when trying to work DX or a Contest. I

That's right. Any piano tuner does this when he tunes your piano. Gary I can get two tones easily less than one hertz apart by listening to the beats as long as the two tones are close in amplitude.
