Dick, You're more clever and more ambitious than I am! Yes, I just unplugged the DX Engineering control box, which is the power supply, switch, and LEDs and replaced it with the Top Ten Decoder box.

The option 3 mod was only done at the factory. You could ask if they still can do it. I recall there was a short window when the mod was first introduced and I had mine done, so it might be too late
