Hi campers... got a 580 used last year, it developed some issues, sent off to TenTec service, they called and said it had a number of issues, cost 3-400 dollars to fix, didn't think it would be worth

look for the "T" voltage line in rig, it turns on when rig goes into transmit...... connect to amp, turns amp on, works qsk dave

i have omni v, corsair, corsair ii, delta 580, omni c, 544 and keep switching between them - the corsairs seem to win most often Dave K8BBM

I'm using older TenTec tuner, same circuity, and 80 mtr horizontal loop, about same height - using 450 ohm commercial "ladder" line - I have some difference between 75 and 80 mtr, but still, thrilled
