S meter seems to work better on big signals. The AF levels are back !!!! NR is different, but still playing with that. I am still hearing RX audio distortion on peaks!! But now, for those of you who
Explain what buttons you are hold down and the order you are doing this again. I did what I think you said and I still have the same distortion. Listen to CW at RX BW at the default 1000 and the AGC
Well, I just returned from the Charlotte hamfest and had a GREAT time. It appeared there was lots of VEC testing going on, so we may be hearing new folks on the air soon. The usual flea market crowd
I have experienced the problem with the RIT control several months ago and it went away after loading 2.059d and doing both of the resets. It has worked flawlessly for months. I started trying AM out
What is the keydown output of a Hercules II amp? Is it the same on all bands? What about PEP? Does it have good swing on AM? Will the new Ameritron switching power supply work on this amp with full o

I am working on an issue with an amplifier and need some info to see if my testing is accurate. I am running my Orion at 65watts carrier for driving an Ameritron amp. However, I am noticing that even

I am amazed at all the different answers to this question. Some are hearing the distortion, others are not; some in their headphones (in only one side), some on the internal speaker. To add to the li
I had tried the first couple of V2 firmwares and ended up going back to the V1.37xxx due to my operating style. I work mostly CW and SSB. I loaded the new firmware on the Orion I and am glad to see M
