Gary, I don't really experience a pop on AGC like you describe. FWIW, I use 200 ohm Z headphones and typically have the volume level around the half-way mark. I use fast AGC on cw with no hang. I do

Steve, I know nothing of your methodology in generating the spectra that you've been sharing. I was wondering what steps you took to match rf and af gain on the two rigs in order to feed equal amplit

Steve, FWIW I'd suggest using the headphone outputs and match the level between the two rigs with NR off. 73, Barry N1EU __________________________________________________________________ Switch to N

I don't see it as that black and white. People get frustrated when they can't figure out someone's intentions - I'll leave it as simply stated as that. Again, I don't see it as "accepting the Orion

I agree that you should go through and set all the thresholds quite low and then don't touch them again. However, I tend to adjust RF gain by increasing it to just past where I can hear band noise. I

I'm way down the food chain on hearing of the fix but don't understand why it shouldn't be public. All disclaimers, but I believe it is enabling both keying loops even if you're only using one. 73, B

I honestly don't think anything is gained by twiddling the AGC Threshold independently from the front panel RF Gain control. Have at it, but I fear the perception that there's something to gain (no p

Evidently it's an Arc Fault condition. In my experience, the 2000A is particularly finicky about detecting this specific "fault" condition. No, not at all. My 2000A is quite happy driven from the Ori
