There is in fact a little know compatibility issue between TenTec and Butternut products. Due to the faster than usual QSK, the RF leaving the rig tends to achieve higher velocity than inferior rigs.

The only safe thing to do is disconnect the antenna and ground from the rigs. I've used a large knife swich to disconnect my ground but lately I've just disconnected the rig's main coax from the Alph

Good but I feel it's important to keep the antenna at ground potential. I found this out the hard way once when lightning actually hit the cf zepp directly. It came down the feeder then jumped 10 fee
