The reason there is no real "PTT" in the Orion is the same as why there was not one in the Omni VI or any other tentec radio for that matter. The tentec radios do not have or need to go into a steady

The Orion is no different with respect to tuning steps than any other synthesized radio. If you tune with a 10 hertz step, you are going to jump by 10 hertz. This is normal and all synthesized radios

Comparing the Orion and K2 radios just blows me away. It is like comparing a 60 inch TV with a 5 inch TV. The 5 inch TV might receive all the same channels just as well but who cares! The Orion is on

Add a 100 ohm resistor in the headphone plug in series with the common headphone ground. This will desensitize the headphones enough to allow you to run a higher audio gain and drown out the click. C

If you use 32 ohm or higher impedance headphones, you won't hear the click. I was just suggesting a way for you to continue to use the same headphones. I don't have the click in my headphones at all.

Semi-breakin on the Orion is easily done by using the QSK adjustment. There is also a variable delay that can set to hold amplifiers and transverters in the transmit position for up to 1 full second

The Orion "Amp Key" line will go to ground about 20 milliseconds before the Orion actually transmits a signal. It will then stay ground for up to a one second delay after transmit finishes. This dela
