Those standoffs are know as PEM Fasteners. A .213 hole is punched for the 6-32 series and then a 2-3 ton press is used to press the fastener into the aluminum. These are also known a clinch fasteners

ed, Perhaps the biggest issue with the Orion is bad capacitors on the A1 board. As silly as that may sound, replacing all the caps (electrolytic) will solve a multitude of issues. Good place to start
