A great addition would be for the major contests to submit their logs to LOTW. The checkers could eliminate any 'uniques'. Most of us work DXCC in some category each contest and never get nearly that

We don't need a thousand, "Mine works!" comments, but one more. I'm running an Omni VII from a hill 3 miles away remote. Also a friend in Iowa (I'm in KS) is using it via the WEB with success. His li

My remote VII always reads SWR 9.9 if I go to SSB with no audio. Normal is about 1.2 to the SteppIR on 20M. Friends I give a temporary pswd are always dropping me notes that "something is wrong with

This casual contester from middle of the US simply puts the Orion on some comfortable BW, partly based upon band noise, and operates S&P. The thing is so bullet proof that I seldom need to narrow the

I once suggested to W7ZOI, the ARRL, and Hamvention that it would be fun to have an 'unlimited' head to head strong signal measurement event for homebrew receivers the day before Hamvention. Somethin

My Omni VII had some memory scramble and fried the output. TT fixed it cheaply quickly. My original Orion took a lightning hit. Up front they told me it was doubtful if it could be fixed and would be

I stand corrected, but as a casual contester I want a rig that will dig signals out of the crap on a crowded band. Sherwood seems to measure that. The Orion does that well. As for all of the other be

I have an early Orion. Best rig I ever had. Got popped by lightning maybe 5 years ago and despite cautions by the repair staff that even if they fixed it, it might be fragile. They did a great job an
