You are exactly correct. There are two versions of 2.0 as there were two many problems trying to use the same code for both rigs, but this is old news as we found out about this in early to mid Octob

Don, Hold user 2 in while turning the power on and this will put you into the firmware update mode, and then reload the firmware that you were using. This may be the only way to unlock the rig. Toby

NO! User 2 is the way to get into the update mode when the rig is locked up. I have recently had this happen to me twice and nothing worked but reloading the firmware by using the User 2 button. Reca

Yes, including the red tx led and a blank screen. Using user 2 would be worth a try if you havn't tried it. Be prepared to reload the firmware however. Toby W4CAK lights

I agree, I would prefer the S meter to work like it does in 1.372. The other way you really can't tell what the received signal is unless the RF gain is turned mostly all the way up, this is one feat
