Radar operator for 30 years and retired last July. We used the K55 radar which is 10.525 gigahertz. Forget it, you can't win. What concerns me is that he wrote the ticket for a 35 zone when it was 45

We calibrated our K55 radar with two tuning forks. You struck it on a soft surface such as the dash. One was 35 mph and the other was 80 mph. You also had to strike both at once and get the differenc

I agree. I also like to work the Novices and or the newbies. I don't need for anyone to know how fast I can send. I let the speed fit the particular QSO. Worked a novice call once at about 7 or 8 WPM

I replaced D12 on the HPF board with a 1N4148 diode from Radio Shack. The original is a glass silicon diode. Buck and a half for 10 of them. Seems to work OK now. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Paul K

Those who followed my problem thread remember that I lost sensitivity in the 6.5 to 10.5 range on my Paragon 585. I replaced the diode on the HPF board and it was okay again. For 3 days. Same problem
