I believe the sweep problem was also a Version 1.xxx firmware problem (hence a 565 problem) that went away with Version 2.xxx. As Barry says, if you are having a problem with the sweep in Version 3.
Karl you should test the output into a dummy load on all bands. If the symptoms are similar on 12 metres and 10 metres then I'd suspect a relay failure. I have written up the repair process on my w
I don't own one but I believe the Eagle only has a AUX output. I don't think it has an input for the Remote pod. 73, Rick VE7TK Website: http://www.ve7tk.com To: Discussion of Ten-Tec Equipment <t
If a pass transistor has failed (shorted) that would trip the OVP. Reset the relay BUT before you try it on the rig put a meter on the output. 73, Rick VE7TK Website: http://www.ve7tk.com To: "'D
Now here's a Ten-Tec product that could REALLY use a logic board update!! A great tuner but showing it's age! 73, Rick VE7TK Website: http://www.ve7tk.com -- Subject: Re: [TenTec] TT-253 Tuner Hel
Actually Rick if you look at the logbook position the operator is likely left-handed. That would put the key/paddle in his neat shack, with the cable routed behind the desk, right under your callsig
Art here's a thought - are you using an RS-232 to USB converter? Somewhere in the archives I'm sure you'll find discussion on the weird interactions of some of the USB/Serial converters. I'd sugges
Steve you need the Ten-Tec Model 311 Band Data Converter or similar. This device, to my knowledge, has never been on the T-T website so it will likely require a phone call to TN. The cable you had

An easy mod and, in my opinion, worth the effort. It's on the wiki at: http://tentecwiki.org/doku.php?id=orion_molex_to_power_pole_mod I found the appropriate brass tubing at the local hobby shop.
Are you running a serial output from the Orion to the computer? If you disconnect the serial cable and attempt to duplicate the problem is it still there?? If it disappears I'd think it's an RFI prob
Holger I wonder if it might be the power distribution board. The power distribution board is a very simple fix. You replace 3 electrolytic capacitors. You should try and get good quality, low ESR val
Steve I feel that your question may be somewhat unfair to those who volunteered to do the testing. For obvious reasons, software and firmware Beta testers are often asked to keep the Beta, it's progr
