Call Ten Tec, the last I heard they still have some. Wayne Need the bottom front trim for my beloved Corsair II. Don't even ask how! Also looking for a replacement internal speaker. Thanks. Sent by s
A few years ago I got some from Ten Tec, you may want to call them. Wayne/W8aju Does anyone have a Corsair, Corsair II, or model 260 power supply that they are parting out and would be willing to sel
I've had Corsair 2's for many years, I like to pull the RF Gain control forward (att. on) and run the RF and Audio gain controls at about 5. This works well for me in most cases. Wayne/w8aju Is there
Ed, I have a Omni 6 plus with 250hz, 500hz filter at the 6mhz IF, and also 600hz Inrad roofing filter. The radio has one problem and that is I only get 25-30 watts output on 20 and17m, all other band
I have a OMNI 6+ and mine will only put out 30w on 20m and 17m. I will be following this with you. Good luck. Wayne Was on last night with my Omni 6 plus and noticed I do not have any output on 80 an
Charles, I use a green grease made by Phil Wood & Co. It is a bike grease made for ball and roller bearings. The 3 oz container will last you a life time. Find it @ philwood.com Wayne Try DuPont Kryt
My OMNI 6+ has a power issue on 20m and 17m, it drops to 50w output on 20m and 15w on 17m. All other bands are okay. I've checked the output of the L.O. Mixer board, port 26, across a 50 ohm load. 16
Thanks Gary, I really don't want to send it to TT, but may have to do that. Do you know how much it cost to fix? Wayne My Omni VI+ which I sold last summer apparently had this symptom on one band and
Phil, I'm using a 229b tuner with a current forcing balun and open wire feeders, at 20w output I can adjust the tuner for a 1:1 swr. Wayne Wayne.... Put the 20 m antenna, not the dummy load on the ri
Ken, if I'm correct the output from the l.o. mixer , port 26, should be pretty much the same on all bands? I do have a good scope but do not have a good signal generator. I used to have all that qual
Thanks Phil, I was not aware of leaky diodes, I did check them with a meter and maybe I should just replace them? I would never have thought the diodes in the receiver front end could be the problem!
With bands being dead for so long I really don't know. Wayne The tuner confuses the issue a bit, but are the tuner settings where they normally are for 20m? Do you have a frequency counter? Phil C. S
Yes, I do have a freq. counter. Wayne The tuner confuses the issue a bit, but are the tuner settings where they normally are for 20m? Do you have a frequency counter? Phil C. Sr. k4dpk -- Original Me
Phil, thanks again, I may do it tomorrow or Monday. Wayne Look at the diodes associated with connector 14 on the BPF/Front end Schematic. There should only be voltage on one band at a time, measured
Thanks Gary, I would not have a problem with $150 but who knows what it could turn out to be. I'm going to call Paul at TT Monday and see what he says. One of the guys on the Reflector said there has
Gerald, with bad band condx I'm not sure about the rx but always wondered if there was something wrong there. I mostly operate 80 and 40m but I'm kind of thinking about selling the rig and want it to
Gary, I dug into the 6+ today and it has a missing clocking pulse. I called TT and was told some of the ic's are no longer available! I only us 160-30m and the only bands that are low power are 20 an
Gary, further testing shows that I'm not getting the clock pulse out of u13, which is a PLL. The input signal is fine. The ic is a mc145170p2, so the next step is to call TT and see if they have it.
Thanks Stuart, as I dig into this thing I'm learning. I now see that it is the microcontoller (80c32) which generates the clocking pulse after getting the 10mhz signal from the osc. Boy this kind of
