- Agreed on that. The 1340 was my first construction experience. I learned a lot, the Ten Tec mods reduced the T/R thump and I was off an running. Great little rig. A joy to assemble and to operate. T

- I just put together a T-kit 3140. I'm quite happy with it but for one problem: The side tone is ear-splitting loud. I have to turn the volume control all the way down, using the side tone in my keyer
