Interesting, but what I built was not a receiver. It went between your transceiver and headphones, plugging into the phone jack. It had to be in the 1980-1983 range in QST and was not a kit, but plan

I recall something similar ... being described in Ham Radio magazine about the time frame you mentioned ... the QST article was much later. Always wanted to build the HR idea, and see how it worked.
