- Hi Jim, I have owned a Jupiter and also an ALS 600, but not at the same time. I used the ALS 600 with both my Omni VI and my Omni VI+. According to Ten-Tec, they haven't changed the transmitter much

- I have an orion 2 driving an Ameritron ALS-600. It is a good combination, Get a LDG 1000 auto tuner and you have a wonderful quick band change set up George, W6GF ____________________________________

- John, You'll find a 600W amp probably does about all you want an amp to do. It makes a big difference over 100w, and is only a half S-unit weaker than max legal limit at the other end of the QSO. I l

- The Herc II is a very nice amp, and has the major advantage of running on 13.8VDC. I strongly recommend it. It runs 500-600 watts, and needs to see a 50 ohm load. The Herc I is OK if it works for you
