My 509 makes a "pop" everytime I key either a dot or a dash and it happens only with an electronic keyer and not with a key or a bug and the pop happens with any electronic keyer I have tried.   Is t

Hi Gil, Yes, the T/R switching line in the 509 really wants to see a good solid ground for proper operation. I've had to try various keyer output transistors to get decent operation. No problem with
