Hi Mike, Maybe the heterodyne oscillator for 80m has low output, or it may be far enough off frequency to be attenuated by the 80m filtering. If possible, follow the RF from the PTO through the mixer

Mike, At the risk of stating the obvious, the Argosy II fault would seem to be somewhere in the Tx chain that is unique to 80m. That doesn't leave a lot: Heterodyne Oscillator Xtal Bandpass filter PA

Steve. I tend to agree. With less current draw on 80 meters, I do not see the problem with the pa. I don't have a sweep generator so I will not mess with the bpf. I will use the scope and see if ther
