Larry, Thank you for the good info on lead acid batteries. I'm not sure what Specific Gravity numbers to look for? Also is there any proper way to know what cycle time to use for a charger system? As

Probably not longer battery charge. The linear regulator typical of most power supplies in that situation would be just a hair over 50% (maybe as much as 60% when the 24v battery dropped down to 23 v
