- T-T er's Here's my rundown on battery operation of radios. I only operate off batteries and it gets interesting. My B&W Hallmark 12" RTTY monitor and TV receiver still has a viewable picture at 9vdc.

- By the time you get a lead acid battery down to 10.5 volts there's not much capacity left. The problem with many radios seems to be in the regulators. The 7800/LM340 family of regulators needs a coup
