Lane, the manual says the plate voltage is 1800 volts no load, 1500 volts full load. I find this to be true. QSK action is pretty good. I don't know how good because this is the only amplifier I have

I have a new Centaur amplifier which I really do like. It is compact, has QSK, is inexpensive, and is very easy to tune. Its really well worth the money. I have mentioned the VERY loud fan that can d

Jim - I don't notice the QSK relay as being very loud. My IC-765 has a fairly quiet relay, and the Centaur's is a bit louder, but certainly not obnoxious. Besides, how can you hear it over the fan no

Ron, Great question, and I will be watching the answers closely too. I fried an 811A in my Centaur the other day and can see the bottom of the spare bin very clearly now! The big question is, when I

Joel, you better off with the 811's. That's what the rig was designed for. Putting in 572"s will not net you enough additional power to be noticed. IMD products are reported to be higher as well. You
