Hello: I am using a Corsair primarily for CW. In the interests of directed experimentation, what suggested filters might I consider. I currently have access to the 500 Hz filter. Is there a 250 Hz fi

Hi John - Yes, there's a 250 Hz filter and its pretty good for my money. If I was to install just one filter, I'd put in the 500 Hz filter, but I have each one installed in my Corsair so I can choose

When the stock SSB filters can be scrunched down to may 100 Hz with the band pass tuning, I waited for many months before I installed the 500 Hz filter. The Corsair takes the same filters as the Omni

The Argosy came with a 4-pole SSB filter and its performance on CW was greatly enhanced by substituting the model 220 8-pole SSB filter. I believe the Corsair used the 4-pole SSB filter in some stage

The Corsair I came with the four pole filter. The Corsair II came with the 8 pole filter in the first IF. Changing the Corsair I is just a matter of finding and swapping the filters. 73, Jerry, K0CQ

Good point. The Corsair I made swapping the first IF (9 MHz) filter simple by plug in. Not so for the Corsair II. You might consider, depending on your tastes, an INRAD 2.8 filter for that slot, it p

I used the 250 Hz filter in my Corsair I and it worked very well. Not for casual operating, but I found that it helped to pull in weak 80 meter stations when there was a high QRM level. This filter n

The Corsair II may have come with the 8 pole first IF filter, but the Corsair I did not. I added the 8 pole filter to my Corsair and I made a very noticeable improvement. The selectivity is razor sha

The Corsair (I) originally shipped with a 4 pole filter. There was a promotion for awhile in which the 4 pole filter was replaced with an 8 pole one. However, this was not done at the factory but at
