Hope some of the good troubleshooters on here can point me in a direction. I have a Corsair 2 that is very weak on receive. I have checked transistor voltages on IF/AF board 80984, the Osc/mixer boar

Slide the AUX ANT / AUX RX switch back and forth about 20 times...... often corrosion / oxidation causes weak receive; cleaning the switch will put things back to normal. 73 & DX, Gary - AB9M --Origi

It could also be a bad xtal filter or poor filter contact, or poor contact along the receive chain. Clean them all or try jumpering the filter contacts. Barry N1EU ___________________________________

Ok I tried the rx switch clean, I had already done that a few times but did a bunch more slides. No change. As far as the filters. I am looking at the 9mhz 2.4 It is a soldered on filter? everything

*Jon,* * The first thing that I would do is replace PIN Diodes D-1 thru D-8 .... These diodes were a very common problem " Back in the Day " You could also measure the forward voltage drop on these d

Since one transistor position has the same incorrect voltage on all leads, I would look for a short. It might be solder splash on the under device side of the board. It might be a faulty coupling cap

A big clue to the faulty receive is the fact that Q6 has normal voltages in transmit but all the same voltage on pins in receive. The transmit and receive busses switch something that is throwing Q6
