That is normal Chris. That is the way they all are. Some complained of poor audio quality on that band, but careful alignment can usually take care of it. 73, Dave - W3NP ____________________________

The swapped side bands on 17m is a product of the 9 MHz IF and 5 MHz VFO scheme used in Tentecs for nearly all recorded history. That comes from some of the earliest home brew rigs for SSB. And is wh

No Steve you are wrong. There is side band inversion. I was there. Look at it this way. say you have a carrier at 9.000 and a tone at 9.0015. Subtract 5.000 for 80 meters, the carrier comes out at 4.

Jerry, It's a mistake to confuse the simple "9MHz IF with 5-5.5MHz LO" mixing scheme with the one used in the Corsair. In the Corsair we have: RF = LO - IF for all bands 160m thru 30m, and RF = LO +

You can substitute a different filter in place of the 500 Hz or 250 Hz filter , but that's about it. The 1.8 kHz filter is the narrow SSB filter.  If you never use it for SSB, then it could be substi
