- You'll need both a serial port and a sound card. If they're not built into your laptop, you'll have to provide via external USB devices or ham interface accessory. Barry N1EU ________________________

- Thanks for helping with additional clarifications, Greg. For what it's worth, CAT control is NOT a requirement to run FT8. In WSJT-X settings, simply choose NO radio, and for Split Mode choose Fake I
