Randy ... I was rereading your post after sending my first reply via the list, and realized you tried the "hold the skirt and turn the knob" trick. Ten-tec seems to ships these things with the knobs

My rig before the Orion 2 was a TS-520, same vintage as the HW-101. What a technology shock!! 1) Grab the silver ring on the knob and hold it and then turn the black knob counter clockwise to loosen

Go into Audio and select RXEQ or something to that effect. You can use the multi knob to adjust the audio to your liking. I think if you go minus some db, you will get more a more "treble" sound. But
