- The later Omni 6+ uses a 4 pin dual gate MOSFET for the feedback loop IF. It is a black round device as opposed to the earlier 3SK301. It does not use the ferrite bead on the one gate. Does anyone kn

- I was able to take a macro photo of this transistor. In Photoshop I was able to read the number as BF988. I bought one on eBay, hopefully it is not an empty. Gary ____________________________________

- A quick check on line looks like it was designed for/used in TV tuners. Worst case you might be able to find one to "re-purpose" in a TV set of that era? 73, Al ______________________________________

- Thanks! Yeah, I remember those in the tuners. I would guess Ten Ten did not use anything but off-the-shelf electronic parts back then. Not enough volume or value to justify custom devices. Gary _____
