I have an issue with my Omni V. It now seems when I turn it on (cold) I do not get a receive signal on 40. If I hit any of the other band buttons the receiver comes to life, back to 40 nothing. After

Hi Scott, It sounds like an oscillator is not starting until warmed up slightly. Maybe a crystal whose activity is marginal. Maybe other guys will have other ideas. Good luck. Pat-K4BEH _____________

First order of business with any flaky Omni V behavior is to clean the DC power connectors on and to the rig. Gunk or oxidation on this connector will do things you never would attribute to a dirty p
