I have 2 Orion's 565 and 566. Both have the latest firmware updates V3. The 566 has the rx366 sub rx. The Orion has the standard sub rx. The Hardware noise blanker on the Orion works great. On the Or

Issue solved, (I think) So trying the suggestions I did a full Firmware update or reinstall. Seemed like that DID NOT solve issue. So per discussion on the Yahoo group I did downgrade to 3.026 Versio

In general the Noise Blanker acts only on repetitive pulse noise. It does little to nothing on random noise. And if you are working a strong station, the NB should be off. Otherwise the peaks trigger

Update: Problem NOT solved with the firmware update. So I went through the wiki and found the excellent information on calibrating the tcxo so that the sidebands are equal. TCXO Calibration Procedure
