I don't have the Heil mic or the NCS switcher, but I had a similar experience with my O II and the T-T 706. I have the mic gain set to 52 for SSB but got light-audio reports on AM. Turning up the mic

These boxes will not show nonlinearities in the modulation, they only show if the range of modulation is not full. They do not show peak limiting of excessive positive modulation or excessive negativ
