Carl(N4PY) the Orion is my first TenTec radio so I don't know the history of "specific nomenclature." However, I spent a lot of time with the R-390. I think you forgot to say that the R-390 had a 4KC

I think my point of the previous discussion was missed by some. I was just trying to say that traditionally, AM bandwidth is expressed as the total RF bandwidth and not just the audio passband. Carl
