is that the Orion (1.373b5) There's your problem. As I recall that version had an issue with lockups. Maybe others will comment but I would say try a newer version of the software or go back to 1.371

While the version could very well be the problem, I would look at the keying voltage and current to be sure it's within the Orion's specifications. IIRC without looking at the schematic, it uses a 2N
