In my opinion, you should wire it the way Inrad suggests, operating off the switching lines for N1 and N2. Otherwise you will be forced to listen to an even more restricted audio response that the Om

I have the following filters installed: 218 1.8 kHz 8 pole for SSB 220 2.4 kHz 8 pole for SSB The third filter is not marked, but came from the factory. 73s Rich, WD6DOK _____________________________

Should we assume the unmarked filter is in the standard/default slot and presumably a 2.4KHz 8-pole filter? It's a matter of preference but I'd say that enabling the filter all the time should work f
